Founder of The Longevity Gym
Dr. Emily Edwards has been helping people move better and live healthier lives for more than 20 years. She earned her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy in 2004 and later completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2010, building a career focused primarily in outpatient orthopedic and vestibular rehabilitation.
Throughout her years in clinical practice, Dr. Emily recognized a common pattern: many patients needed more than traditional rehabilitation alone. While physical therapy could effectively address pain and restore movement, long-term healing and wellness often required a broader approach—one that considered nutrition, hydration, lifestyle habits, and overall health. She saw firsthand how factors like blood sugar regulation, inflammation, and daily movement habits could directly impact pain, healing, and function.
Driven by a desire to better understand these underlying factors, Dr. Emily pursued additional training in Functional Diagnostic Nutrition and the Root Cause Protocol. Over the past three years, she has worked alongside her brother who is a functional medicine physician at Veritas Wellness, helping individuals identify root causes and develop personalized strategies to prevent and reverse chronic disease.
That journey inspired the vision behind The Longevity Gym Physical Therapy & Wellness: a practice built around treating the whole person—not just the injury. Dr. Emily combines one-on-one, personalized physical therapy with practical guidance in movement, wellness, nutrition, and hydration to help patients heal more completely, stay active longer, and enjoy a higher quality of life.
She is especially passionate about shifting the role of physical therapy from reactive to proactive—helping adults prevent injury, preserve strength and mobility, and maintain independence for years to come. Her mission is to empower people to move well, live well, and thrive at every stage of life.
